Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Filtration Products

XIORA Filtration

  • Q1: What is a high flow filter cartridge?

A high flow filter cartridge is a large-diameter, pleated filter element designed to handle high volumes of liquid with fewer cartridges. It helps reduce system size, lower maintenance costs, and extend filter service life.

  • Q2: What is the difference between melt blown and string wound filter cartridges?

Melt blown cartridges are made of layers of polypropylene fibers for fine particle removal, while string wound filters are constructed from yarn wound around a core, offering high dirt-holding capacity and cost-effective pre-filtration.

  • Q3: Can your filter cartridges replace Pall, Parker, or 3M filters?

Yes. XIORA high flow filter cartridges are OEM-compatible replacements for leading brands such as Pall, Parker, and 3M. They are designed to fit existing housings while delivering equal or superior performance.

  • Q4: What industries use your filter cartridges?

Our cartridges are widely applied in power plants, seawater desalination, RO pretreatment, petrochemical processes, food & beverage production, pharmaceuticals, and general water treatment.

  • Q5: What micron ratings are available?

We provide a wide range from 0.5 μm to 100 μm, ensuring precise filtration levels for different processes and industries.

  • Q6: What are your standard filter cartridge sizes?

Standard lengths include 20", 30", 40", and 60". Diameter is typically 6". Customized sizes can be produced upon request.

  • Q7: How often should filter cartridges be replaced?

Replacement depends on application and water quality. Typically, cartridges are changed when the pressure drop reaches 0.15 MPa at 20°C or when performance declines.

  • Q8: Do you provide OEM/ODM services?

Yes. We support private labeling, customized designs, and tailored filtration solutions according to customer requirements.
